I've had my copies of this series for several years now....I must think they're great because I've read the series many time. There is a couple of things I would like to mention. These are semi-stand alone books. The theme is mentioned upfront in each book (slightly different each time). This gets the theme out of the way so the reader doesn't have to endure it throughout the book {I liked it}. The next thing I would like to mentioned is....some portions of each book is installed in the other books. DON'T WORRY--It's OK; it is not enough to growl about and doesn't distract from the actual book you are reading. The writing is excellent - this from someone who knows very little about grammar and can't spell worth a darn. Don't complain, you asked for this review. There were funny times, exciting times, ya sex, sex, sex, but for this teetotaler or is it teatotaler-i endured, There was action, there was loyalty, love, lust and Good against evil (that is always a good thing). I recommend not just this book, but this series. You'll miss out if you don't read them all............Product details

In the book Embrace the Hunger Marisa Chenery once again weaves her magic. As we watch this series unfold we get to meet Ra's chosen warriors and see them each find their mates. In this book it is Akori's turn to find his mate. Never one to settle down with just one woman Akori has always fought it with all that he has but when he meets Jordan everything changes.
I loved Akori right from the start, he is a great man inside and out. He falls hard for Jordan and we get to see just how far he would go to protect her. Jordan is a wonderful woman who is able to stand on her own two feet yet is as strong as Jordan. Even so, she still longs for a man to share her life with.
The love that grows between Akori and Jordan was wonderful. As the family of warriors and mates grows so does the family bond that is shared between them all. I enjoyed seeing the couples from the previous books still in the picture and still in love.
With characters so deep with emotions Embrace the Hunger is a book that should not be missed. Marisa Chenery adds a little bit of everything to her stories even a little humor now and than. I just loved the problem Akori has with his pants during the photo shoot. Now that was a great scene.
Each book in this series has been a wonderful read and I am eagerly awaiting the next installment in this series.

ra is trying his best to get his chosen mated up. bless his bones this here is fighting it till he can't any longer. give it a try, you just might like it.
This series was well written and kept my interest. The only reason it didn't receive 5 stars from me was the wording used during the "love" scenes. The language chosen to express the actions of the characters was more in line with that found in a porn than a fantasy. I've been reading romance novels for years and know that the same scenarios can be expressed without me feeling like I should hide the book from others.
I was aware of Akori being the better looking of Ra's chosen and couldn't wait to read about the women who would bring him to his knees, Akori and Jordan were a perfect match, I love the jeans in the photo shoot and laughed and loved strait through to the end of yet another wonderful creation by Marisa Chenery.
I love the Ra's Chosen series by Marisa Chenery but so far this one was my least favorite. For some reason I did not feel as connected to Akori and Jordan as much as I have the previous couples. It was still a good read and I will continue with the series. You can read each book on it's own but it is better if you start from the beginning so you have a better idea of what has been going on. This is a spicy and fun series to read.
